Sacramonte – a small hill near Granada. Inconspicuously blended in with the mountainous landscape of Andalusia and fertile valley of the Genil River. This dry land under the hot sky hides another world – enthusiasts of flamenco. For generations, Sacramonte has been the house and shelter for Gitanos (Spanish Gypsies). Ages ago they travelled thousands of kilometers to settle in Andalusia. Here, in Granada, in the rocks of Sacramonte, they made cuevas (caves) and settled in for good. Their ability to improvise and enjoy every moment is visible at every turn. Discreetness of flamenco can touch, move, excite. Flamenco – a person playing, singing, or dancing flamenco, but most of all somebody who lives according to its rules – will give you what we are slowly losing in our culture by placing mind before emotions and spirit: contact with what is primeval, stately, what gives our lives depth.
Cuevas (flamenco caves) – inside their arched vaults and long corridors connecting individual rooms create mysterious and intriguing atmosphere. In a room, inside cueva, there is no stage, instead there are chairs arranged in a circle. Walls warmly glisten with copper and ceramic plates. The room slowly fills up and finally is bursting at the seams. A man in white shirt and black vest comes out to the middle of the room and strikes the strings. A young dancer attracts your attention with the rhythm she taps out with her heels – sweat, rhythm, melancholy in her voice. Hypnotized audience cannot tear their eyes away from the oldest and fattest dancer. Her lack of beauty does not matter anymore because her body has become a perfect tool for expressing emotions. Terracotta tiles hardly stand the force of her heels. At the end, dancers unexpectedly ask some members of the audience to join them.
Real flamenco means join improvisation, family playing. The music expresses longing and passion, although there is also place for cheerful joy. Dancing, singing and the guitar can fill life, even the most difficult one, bring beauty and purify.
Spain is well-known for its extraordinary golf courses present through the country, including Majorca and the Canary Islands. What deserves particular attention is Costa del Sol, also called "Costa del Golf". There are 50 golf courses of different size and difficulty, including the renowned Valderrama Club. Experienced players start their game on a 18-hole course, and today you are given a chance to learn to play golf in Golf Academy. A perfect place to do this is a driving range where professional trainers will introduce you to the game and explain some basic issues as golf terminology, proper handling of the club and correct hits. They will not only show the principles of hits, but will also record your training and every participant will be told what to improve. Next, we proceed to a 9-hole course with short distances between holes and we will see how you are doing! You will see, it works! We will divide you into teams and will start a golf tournament. At the end, well-deserved supper in the golf club.
It is meant for those of you who want to spend time in the bosom of nature together with your family and friends. Participants will be divided into four-person teams. Before leaving the hotel, we will give you car keys, GPS and instructions for the route with all information you need to get to your destination. The GPS will show you 'points' where you must follow. Along the way you can admire beautiful mountains, ravines, the coast, local fauna and flora. We can also organize some tasks, e.g. participants will have to ask locals about something, buy ingredients to make paella, or take pictures with a Polaroid to make a jigsaw puzzle. We can also organize numerous adventure games, such as shooting with a bow and arrow, climbing, quads, obstacle course, etc. There will be a safety car always on the road to supervise and make sure everything goes according to the plan. We will provide our participants with mineral water and beverages, you can collect them along the way. This programme can be organized in any part of the country. Areas which are particularly interesting include: the Pyrenees, Majorca, Ronda, Granada and Sierra de Madrid.
